Who doesn't want beautiful lashes? I won't lie, I do. I tried serums. I tried adhesive. I tried castor oil. I have tried. And I have failed. Mascara only does so much.
Then came magnetic lashes. These beautiful strips of fake hair that are perfectly curled, colored, and all you have to do is put the two parts of the magnet together. Hello beautiful lashes, right?
Wrong.
So let me start with the positives. Concept is great. And not having to pay for extensions and losing the little lash I still have isa bonus. No glue? That means this is a clean method.
The fullness, wow! These are long, dark lashes that we only dream of.
The product quality. Great! Nice box to store them. Them seem strong to withstand multiple uses.
The downside...
Well, remember that great concept? Not quite worked out to the point of giving easy instructions to follow and succeed. Trying to hold the top lash and attach the bottom was not easy. Trying to keep them inline with the base of then natural lashes and not let the magnet clamp in the wrong place was frustrating. Trying to not poke an eye out. Trying to not let my eyes tear up. And the amount of time to get one in place and then start on the next... To be completely honest, they were hard to put on. See my unsuccessful attempts below...
The second down side, was that my particular set had a flaw. On one of the lash sets, the magnets don't actually attach correctly, instead they repel. So then the lashes are off in one direction when applied. See my picture below. The ends don't match because the magnets were connecting incorrectly. I was sad to see this happen, as I thought was my inability to apply correctly until I laid them out to see what the problem was.
I am going to be honest, I want to keep trying though... I really think there has to be someway to make magnetic lashes work. I know I won't be able to wear this broken set, but maybe I can at least figure out how to get them on so that I can invest in a new pair.
Had this set not been a bad batch in terms of the magnets, and if you can master putting them on, without making your eyes tear up or poke an eyeball out, I think they would be worth a shot so long as you can get them for a good price.
